Sniff analyzes a passage and returns an estimated AI-likelihood score. It is a writing aid for exploring patterns in text, not proof of who wrote it. Scores can vary with topic, style and length. Use your judgment and context when interpreting a result.
How to scan a text
Sign in to your dashboard, paste at least 20 words and choose Scan It. The free plan includes 10 scans, with up to 1,500 words per scan. Scans use your scan balance, not your humanizer word balance, and appear in your recent history.
Keep the decision human
AI detectors can misclassify writing. Do not use a score alone to judge a student, employee, author or applicant. Review the text itself, supporting evidence and the applicable rules. Read the Terms for the service limitations.
